About the Artist

Sophie's journey into dog art started only 6 years ago. Growing up in Australia she was always around horses and dogs and has had a love for both for many years. It wasn't until she came to the United States that her passion for both art and dogs formed a union that started a whole new journey.

After leaving Los Angeles and heading to Las Vegas, Sophie took her first structured art classes in both charcoal and printmaking. She discovered a love for intaglio type printing, relief printing and working with solar plates. It was in this class that the idea for a dog art business was formed.



These days she is the "Reigning Monarch" at The Dog Empire and works with animal welfare groups all over the country, designing artwork specifically for each one and donating back to them with each sale. In addition she does custom work offering clients a chance to have their own dog in her signature digital illustration style.



On her time off, you'll most likely find her with her four-legged kids, mini dachshund Charlotte, and American staffordshire terrier Daisy Mae.
